THE BEMIS FAMILY SEAT

The 2-in-1 seat accommodates both adult and child users equally. The built-in child ring secures magnetically to the cover when not in use.

MOULDED WOOD

Moulded wood is a mixture of wood flour and resin. The high density of the material makes it suitable for a toilet seat and the warm to the touch feel provides comfort. The seats are finished with an environmentally friendly water-based paint with a high gloss finish. At Bemis we use responsibly and locally sourced wood, mostly coming from post-industrial byproducts to produce our wood flour. We process the wood in-house to give us the upmost quality control throughout the seat-making process.

In 2010 Bemis took moulded wood to the next level by creating the Generation XXI toilet seat. These seats are more curved, resulting in highly stylized ring and cover designs. Generation XXI emulates the look of thermoset plastic, while providing the robust strength and weight of standard moulded wood seats.

THERMOSET PLASTIC

Manufactured from thermoset urea resin. Our Durolux® thermoset plastic toilet seats are manufactured carefully and finished with non-slip bumpers. Our long-lasting thermoset plastic seats have a ceramic –like shine, fitting seamlessly into any bathroom environment. Thermoset plastic is naturally heat resistant and will not scratch with standard use.

THERMOPLASTIC

Manufactured from polypropylene. Our Tecnoplast™ thermoplastic toilet seats are manufactured to deliver a virtually unbreakable product that is versatile for any type of environment. Colourant is used within the plastic pellets, so a consistent colour is seen through every layer of the product, ensuring the colour will not fade or change over time. Because it is made using polypropylene, the ring and cover are both 100% recyclable.

PLASTIC

Plastic hinges are produced using durable resins and do not corrode. The hinges are colour matched to the ring and cover of the seat. The colourant is used within the plastic pellets, so a consistent colour is seen through every layer of the product, ensuring the colour will not fade or change over time. Thermoplastic hinges also have a high resistance against staining and do not chip or crack with standard use. Bemis offers plastic hinges with a variety of features and are either fixed or adjustable in distance.

NEVER LOOSENS!

Installing a toilet seat seems simple, but no matter how carefully installed somehow, they always come loose. In fact, market research showed us the number one issue with toilet seats is a product that does not stay tight. To solve the problem, we developed the patented hinge fixing systems Bemis Ultra-Fix® and Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix®.

Toilet seats repeatedly work loose for two reasons. 

Firstly, the toilet seat is not fully tightened enabling it to more easily loosen.

Secondly, the mounting hole of the toilet ceramic is much larger than the bolt that goes through it, creating natural movement on the ceramic no matter how tight the seat is installed.

The hinge fixing systems Bemis Ultra-Fix® and Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® solve both of these problems and offer an easy installation together with a perfectly tight fixation. On top of that Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® comes with a speed nut fixation which is perfect for professional installers and commercial areas where time is of essence.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Toilet seat installation with Bemis Ultra-Fix® or Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® is easy, you only use two pieces in combination with the hinge to install the seat.

The finned bushing is an important part of our fixing system and the first part you need. The bushing slides into any toilet ceramic mounting hole and flexes to create a snug fit, eliminating excess space and preventing hinge movement.

With the second piece, the installation nut, you fixate the toilet seat tight on your ceramic. The Bemis Ultra-Fix® and Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® installation nuts have an integrated washer which eliminates fumbling with individual nuts, rings and washers during installation. The installation nut is designed to withstand superior clamping forces and does not corrode. The bottom of the nut snaps off at the optimum tightening torque, indicating a correct and perfectly tight installation.

The result

Toilet seats with Bemis Ultra-Fix® or Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® hinge fixation do not loosen over time.

THE TRIED AND TESTED SOLUTION!

To guarantee a toilet seat that does not loosen, toilet seats with the Bemis Ultra-Fix® and Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® hinge fixation have gone through vigorous testing.

Seat deflection tests showed, toilet seats with Bemis Ultra-Fix® or Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® hinge fixation were still firm after 30.000 cycles and last up to 40 times longer than regular toilet seats.

Hinge movement tests showed, toilet seats with Bemis Ultra-Fix® or Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® hinge fixation stayed tight even after 30.000 cycles and last up to 300 times longer than a regular toilet seat.

Most of all, wen correctly installed toilet seats with the Bemis Ultra-Fix® or Bemis Rapid Ultra-Fix® hinge fixation will easily pass the 30 kg side-pull-test according to DIN 19516 standards.
