Bemis UK proud members of the Made In Britain organisation

Bemis Limited - UK are incredibly pleased to announce that we are now proud members of the Made in Britain organisation. Bemis have been granted the sought after award which involves meeting stringent criteria and are now part of this elite institution of British manufacturers.

Made in Britain began as a commercial marketing campaign in 2011. Prescot-based oven manufacturer, Stoves (Glen Dimplex Home Appliances) launched a competition to design a logo for their newly established product line promotion and campaign. When the winning mark was unveiled in 2011, British businesses flocked to apply to use the logo, with 100s of companies showing an interest. A new Made in Britain mark was commissioned, with Made in Britain officially launched as an independent, non-profit organisation in April 2013.

Made in Britain brings together the British manufacturing community, united with the use of the official, registered trademarks. The suite of trademarks is protected, and they can only be used by members of Made in Britain.

Bemis remains family owned to this day, with a heritage dating back 4 generations, all the way to 1901. From woodworking and furniture making to toilet seats, the Bemis Manufacturing Company has grown into an international enterprise with manufacturing and warehousing facilities worldwide.
Bemis acquired a manufacturing facility in Burnley, Lancashire in 1987 and began its journey from assembling moulded wood seats to manufacturing plastic toilet seats. Bemis UK has since grown from strength to strength. Local production ensures constant stock availability for our customers, short lead times and lower carbon footprint due to reduced transportation.
